Hey there! I’m Annie, Founder of GastroPsychotherapy.
For over a decade, I've channeled my passion for Psychology and Gut Health to inform my work. It all began at Boston University, where I earned a Psychology degree while serving as captain of the D1 Rowing Team. It was during this time that I was diagnosed with IBD.
Since then, I have guided individuals with IBD and related gut disorders toward physical and mental well-being. This journey led me to pursuing my master’s degree in mental health counseling, specializing in GI Psychology. As a Master’s Level Counselor, I have completed extensive trainings through the Rome Foundation GastroPsych and American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
I am incredibly excited to provide science-backed psychotherapy and coaching that helps alleviate the mental and physical symptoms of Chronic Illnesses such as IBS and IBD for my clients. I have experienced the freedom and peace that comes with symptom relief first-hand, and am excited to see these improvements in my clients’ quality of life through my work with them.
Some of my preferred modalities include but are not limited to:
CBT-GI, ACT, Exposure Therapy, Clinical Hypnosis, Coaching, and more.
